are the cabby springs the same as mk1

do the cabriolet lowering springs for the mk1 gti??

as ive seen some on ebay but they are for a cabby and my car is a hardtop

Cabby may be listed as heavier hence difference . So the tin top may if fitted ride higher .

can anyone confirm this for me as ive been told that the mk1 scirrocco and cabriolet use the same springs??

call vw and ask for part numbers, see if they are the same

your car will sit higher,
cos cabs are heavier, like the scirocco

ive fitted 40mm drop tintop springs, and my car sits the same but with much less shiplike behaviour1

inoticed that the cabbi have kinda pig taild springs, curl inwards at the top and use a diffrent spring cup then my tin top (dont no if its an aftermarket set)
