ANTI ROLL BARS?????
ANYONE HAVE A CLUE OF THE LENGHTS/ BENDS/ DIAGRAM OR SOMETHING FOR MAKING ANTI ROLL BARS??? unfortunatly it is not sold in S.A. but i know some people who knows some clever people who can make anything Adaptorpeoplez 8)!!! any help guys? Paul? Jonny?… :dontknow:

ARBs are made from spring steel, not normal steel….make a normal one, get it flexing and watch it either work harden or if you really get it flexing it will plasticly deform

Are there any Mk1 Golfs that don't have front ARB anyway?
For the rear, its an easy to design shape, since it simply follows the same lines as the rear beam and there's not much to get in the way of it.

8O importing it will cost me ANOTHER MK1 so wats the use… I know people who can do the job perfectly for a fraction of the cost i just need some blueprints or something. yeah you can literally see the rear bar on the axle, seems easy tho but im not the pro doin it. Google cant even help me

soweee 2 bother again mates but can any1 help me with this, the citi golfs or any mk1 here in S.A. does NOT come with any ARB's. Can sum1 give me sum measurements or anything blueprint like? pics of the brackets/mounings?

I didn't realise that - my non-GTI had one! It didn't have a rear one though.

NOT EVEN THE ALL NEW TO S.A. VELOCITI comes with front or rear ARB mates i live here, if it did i wouldve just stolen some off a doner. but not… So can any1 point me to sum links or anything where i can find more info?? :dontknow: i was in a place called Mitchells Plain friday night and a CTI golf (the 1800 8valve citi) dared to compare to the mk2 16v, he was permanently in the rear view but when it came to cornering the poor mate almost rolled his Cti 8O cornering on 2 wheels!! i DONT want this to happen to my mk1 when im handing out B***H slaps on the v-tecs So PLEASE HELP GUYS. :cry:

Mate,how much do u think it would cost to have a pair shipped from the UK to S.A?I have a pair of standard GTI ones with all the brackets etc so u could do the conversion!Might be worth thinking about!

thanks G60go but the last time i checked it would cost me the same as buying another mk1 here than to ship anything of that size (ARBs etc) here, can even get a pretty mint Citi golf for that money!!Seeing that im still a student guys, my finances are very much limited also But i love the mk1& want 2get it on the road again… so thanx for the help G60 i'll just have to check shipping costs again and pm you! :cry:

Shipping for the ARB's is going set me back about R4000 i think that is about 400euro or pounds, im not sure about the currency. then i still have to pay you for them lol so i'll have to cut my losses but thanks very much for the help!! :wink: would have been nice though, only mk1 here with ARBs 8) But i will find a way hopefully to have them made :mrgreen: thanks again. But any1 have any help i would appreciate it
