Anti-roll bar straps

Does anyone know how to get these rear anti-roll bar straps on - is there a special tool? Or a heat up, clamp and bash job… :banghead:

They just wrap round and then you slide the tube bit over the ends. Mine went on about half way OK and required a tap with a hammer to go on fully.
