Adjustable Front Struts ??

Hi All.
I have a pair of front struts on the golf i am breaking which i have not seen before. They appear to be of standard type , not coilovers or anything , but have an adjustable key type affair on the top of the centre strut in the centre of the top nut. Not seen these on a Golf before , anybody have any ideas or does anyone need any before they go to the scrap yard with the rest of the car ??

yes i need a set desperately as my car is sat too low on springs at the moment. can you post some pics please

are they Yellow? Koni do the old adjustable ones that almost look normal but there are a set of washers things to adjust the hight, they have a white platsic disc that adjusts the stiffness from the top but it doesn't stay on top of the strut all the time.

Anybody shed any light on them

Looks like a koni from the top mate, it's covered in sealer so could be yellow under that. Can you get a pic of the inside where the bottom of the spring sits?

You can get inserts too that just go inside the original shock casing too.
