Accelerator pedal....
Hi folks,
The accelerator pedal on my mk1 has become very lose and looks like its about ready to fall off.
Apparently it requires spot welding?
Any one in the Derby area feel up to the job? If so pm me
Cheers Kate

Yeah this happened to mine, got my mate to weld it back on. It tends to rust and come loose as the drain plug in the scuttle panel clogs and the water leaks in to the drivers footwell.

My cab used to leak through the holes for the alarm horn/speaker thing, after I worked out that the water was getting in there, I tried to seal all the drilled holes with sealant, and unblocked the scuttle drain.
Not an ideal solution really. Short of welding in new metal without holes in, the only option is to check the scuttle drain holes regularly.
