8j x 15 et25 wheels on mk1 golf. Will they fit??

Anyone got any experience of putting 8j x 15 et25 wheels on a mk1 golf. Do they fit? Will I need spacers or rolled arches? All comments welcome. Thx

Peace, love and dubs

Is your car lowered? If so how much? Are you running full plastic arches? Need some more info to be able to guide on this as you might be struggling with 8's you deffo wont need spacers

Offset makes a big difference in addition to whether its been lowered and by how much also presume they are 15"

i was looking to do something similar on my mk1 gti, and was wondering about rolling the arches as this is something i dont really want to do.  does anyone have a link to a guide or a good thread on here about fitment ?

hey easternkris ,
I'm on the hunt for wheels at the mo….
thinking 8j on the front and back, if not.. 7.5j on the front
got 16's on my cabby but thinking about dropping to 15's with a stretch to get wider wheels on
got a 40mm drop on the car at the moment.. could go lower with smaller wheels??
thoughts?

Work smart, not hard.

Am now running a set of 14inch weller road sports. I think there 7 on the front and 7.5 on the rear, I like 14/15's not a big fan of much bigger just don't think the compliment a mk1 very well. Running 8's on a stretch would depend on the et of the wheel. Is that a 40mm drop from standard? Think am 50/60mm drop from standard could go lower but it scrapes enough as it is haha

looking at running spax rsx which have a max 65mm drop with 15's 7.5j on the front and 8j on the back.
with an et that will work … starting to think if arches need rolled so be it.

currently have 7j 16's with a 40mm non adjustable spax vsx kit

what do you think?

Work smart, not hard.
