7.5 on a mk1

Whats eveyones opinion on 7.5 (wide) wheels on a mk1 Good idea ? Im about to buy wheels and im not sur between 7s and 7.5 the car has 17s on at the moment which i bought it with i want to go back to 15s just dont want a huge gap what do 15s look like with standard suspension?

15's will look much better especially in 7.5" width, you will have to do some arch work, how much will depend on the offest of the wheels.

the wheels on at the momenty are 7.5 ive only just got the car and the guy who i got it off didnt put the wheels on it might have had some arch work done ? when full lock is on theres about half to an inch gap , the wheels sit up into the arch but only rub when people in the back.
