6" ATSWheels - What tyres?

I have just refurbed a set of 6x13 ATS Classics for my wife's cabbie. The car has standard GTI alloys with 175 x 70 x 13 tyres. I want to buy new tyres for the ATS wheels to use as summer wheels and my local tyre shop said that 175's are intended for up to 5 & a half inch broad wheels.

Question is do I stretch 175/70's or use 185/55's or 185/60's?

I've got 14"x6" ATS Cups and am running 195x45x14"s Uniroyal Rainsports.

Either on Classics ……..Cheap to buy and look good with out clearance problems . I would just shop for the best price now and see how you get on .
