4 SPEED GTI GEARBOX

Does anybody know wot this is like mated to a 16v engine?
considering the change as my box will need replacing at some point…
dont just need it for sprinting although this could be interesting :wink:  but im not sure if it will be ok for motorway cruising, strength etc????

Would have thought strength would be OK for an unmodified 16V, as essentially it is the same gearbox without the 5th gear on the end. Going to be as noisy as hell on the motorway - you won't be far from bouncing off the rev limiter!
