3 CV joints in 13 Months

I guys
Well i broke down again yesterday due to the inner passanger side cv joint going  :banghead:
This is the second time this has happened and have now put on my 3rd cv joint in 13 months
The whole cage had shattered yet again, i did have a broken front engine mount which was sorted in December, don't know if that was the course of the prob or not, I don't rag my car i chill with her, so am confused as to why the cv joint went yet again, any idea as to why this happens???  :dontknow:

My car is a 1990 MK1 Golf Convertable, the CV joint is the smaller of the sizes (90mm)

Any help would be great on this as i realy don't want to have to put a 4th cv joint on in another 6 months

shouldn't 1990 be 100mm driveshaft ?

Mk1 2l TSR G60.  .getting. There twice as fast

Mk1 lhd diesel…….getting. There for half the cost

i think 100mm was only on the 1.8 carb+injection ones, may be wrong. could possibly explain it if 90mm cvs are being fitted to 100mm shafts tho…

Has your car been lowered? The reason i ask is my mates mk1 was lowered by 110mm and he got through  4 inner cv's on the passenger side. We eventually found the problem was the angle of the drive shaft was at such a angle it was protruding out the back of the cv joint causing the cage to disintergrate. He fixed it by getting a machine shop to shave 5 mm from the end of the shaft.
