I run 4 pot wilwoods with 280mm discs on the front and discs on the rear, discs not no really needed on the rear but look better than drums IMO, wilwoods have awesome stopping power and are prob a bit ott, a decent  280mm setup like this will be more than up to the job.

I run 256mm up front with disks on the rear and a 3:1 mk2 servo with 22 mm master cylinder on a G60 mk1. Stopping power is brillant, nice and progressive without being over braked.

Ade

Hello,

for 15" wheels the maximum is:

Frontaxle: 276x25mm - Girling 60 with adaptor
Rearaxle: 279x11mm - Gilring 38, 279x22mm - Girling 43 or 279x24mm - Girling 43 (my konstruktion / creation)

In big 16" wheels the planed kombination:

Frontaxle: 304x28mm - Brembo 4-piston
Rearaxle: 299x24mm - Girling 43

maybe passed.

With first kombination my MK2 1,6TD have a brakeway from 32,5m out of 100 km/h with 215/40 R 16 tyres (2 bar) and 1100 kg brakeweight.

It´s a famous brakepower.

Other kombination:

305x28mm - Brembo 4-piston
279x11mm / 279x12mm - Gilring 38

Some guy´s drive this kombination and they are very happy about the phantastic brakepower!

Kind regards

Wolfgang
