190mm vs 210mm

Took a 190mm clutch and flywheel of a RE1900 8v GTI engineering engine,
would there be any reason for this clutch to be fitted.I would have thought that the larger surface area of the 210mm would have been better??
unless there is a weight issue.
any ideas from any one??

prob depends what the base engine was. and poss the theory of less rotationg mass so it spins up quicker...but if the cars going to be driven hard I would move up to the 210 size

Yeh thats a good point, also i suspect that the amount of power/torque will have a effect. Big valve head and a 271 cam makes for good power from around 3000 rpm.
