16v 256mm brake conversion, what wheels will fit?

Hi i am doing a 16v 256mm brake conversion on my mk1 but not sure what wheels will fit. I want to fit the smallest wheels as possible but not sure on ET. Any suggestions?

Should be able to fit 14" wheels on, I would think. I've got 15" wheels on my cab with 280mm discs and theres a bit of a gap too.
