16v 22mm master cylinder help

hi right i am finding it hard finding a new 22mm master cylinder from the mk2 16v
i did the conversion last year with a secound hand servo and master cylinder from a mk2 16v and everything was great. ive been having a problem with the pedal hitting the floor found out my master cylinder was gunt up, any way when i go to my local parts place they only listed 20.6mm master cylinder for the mk2 16v and jetta 16v after trying to find a 22mm one and not finding one i bought it and fitted it everything is fine with it but its just not as good as the 22mm one before it went wrong anyone else had this problem cheers

Never heard of a 20.6mm one , the MK2 was 22.2mm even so your brakes should be good with any upgrade on standard . Use GSF car parts in future they list 2 for the Mk2 one cheaper than the other . Corrardo VR6 and 16V used the same master cylinder for cross reference .

You get what you pay for it seems .

hi yeah i will do in future ive sorted it now ,went back he told me i can only supply whats in my book so i said can i have a look at it and in there in black and white  they listed 22.2mm ones for the mk2 16v i said its that one he said oh yeah i didnt see it see that so all sorted now cheers
