16" alloys on Mk1

Has anybody run 7.5 x 16" wheels on a Mk1 with 195/45 tyres?

Looking to put them on my GTI Cab which is lowered about 30mm.. Will I get rubbing issues?

Yes, it can be done all depends on the et the wheels are and what mods you're prepared to carry out as it will need some.
