15" BBS RA Polishing Advice

Hi all
Im wanting to get my BBS rims polished up to the best I can but I need some help on how to best do this. I understand with them being RAs it can be a fiddly job going on. Can you lot give me some tips on how best to do it.
Is it something I can do myself? If so what kit do I need to be able to do it right.

Would really love some help with this as I want to get my MK1 Golf Cabriolet up to a top notch finish and I cant do it without your advice people.

15" BBS RA Polishing Advice - PLEASE HELP DESPERATE!

Well Ive had one wheel polished (kind of ) by a company in sheffield but they only did the face and rim. Not satisfied that its good enough. Ive done a sample test using industrial paint stripper on a small section of the same wheel with rubbish results.

CAN ANYONE HELP! I need them stripping back completely and a high polish finish doing on them to look the muts nuts but I dont know how or where to go for them. Please help

I got my sportline bbs ra's refurbed a couple of months back… I got them straightened, welded and stripped by bead (sand) blasting and painted up all silver and then the black centres were painted. Look pretty good. The powdercoating route might be the best one to go, if they are all the same colour.

Cheers Hugh.

Sorry just read your post again and see that you want polished lips - can't advise on this - maybe an engineering works or alloy specialist might be the ones to talk too.

Cheers Hugh.

PM funkstar on here he has a contact that does diamond cutting of the rims. The full service is an acid strip, powder coat the whole wheel in a colour, diamond cut the rim and then lacquer the whole lot.

Finish is superb, have had both the wife's BBS Sportline wheels and my ATS Type 5's done

Cheers,
Ade

I eventually went with PureKlas to do mine down coventry way. Dav Dulai has done a cracking job of the BBS's for me and they'll be on my baby for the weekend!!

Get in!

Oh nice one! Do you mind saying what sort of money they charged? Failing that make sure you get some pics up!

A mate of mine has some Fondmetals on his 944 which are equally as 'intricate' as the RA's. He did refurb them himself with paint stripper and a lot of patience but they did come up well
