I'm going with 195/45/15 on mine but you can use 195/50/15 as well.

Top marks on the rapid response….. kind of thought they may need 195 50s but ive got a set of 195 55 tyres knocking about that i was hoping i could use…   :(

well when I bought my Ra's they had 185/55/15's on them and they were fine but used to scrub on the rear arches when i was laden or on harsh bumps..

195 55s will be like ballons.

id be looking at 195 45s or 195 50s depending on the offset and how low your car is,

you could also go 185s as on a 6" rim that will also be fine, but for me i pref the widest rubber I can.

OK so 195/50 15s it is then.

Now what tyres are the best, im after something sticky and im not too bothered about wear as it only does about 2000 miles/year.  Was thinking of R888, (it will also get used for the odd trackday) but it does get used in the wet and ive heard these arnt much good if theres water about….  whats anyone else got?   :dontknow:

R888 ae fine if it is mostly a track car that you drive to the circuit, if it is a road car that occasionaly gets used on track then Toyo T1R would be better.

888 are ok in the wet up to a point, but less effective, in fact sometimes useless in standing water…they work best when you manage to get some heat into them, they appear to wear out quickly at first, then last longer with less tread, on a wet autumn/winters evening they can be useless in the cold, you may as well just butter the tyres before you set off!

Yeh, its a road car mainly that gets the odd run out on track, so T1Rs sound more like it… anyone compared these with anything else?
