13x7.5 sizes

Hello,
         what size tyre would i need to get a stretch on 13x7.5 and 8's? For my 83 GTi? How do i find out my cars et? or can the et be adjusted when i get the hot tuning coilovers?

I always thought the wheels had the et and the car just had a recommended et on it.  For the golf i thought et38 or et28 were the standard wheels.  Then if you get a lower et they will stick out more and a higher one in more.

Exactly. Standard et for the Golf is 38.

If you want to get stretch on those widths you'd need something like 185/60, which would probably be decent stretch. Actually that's probably just what I would go for, you might want more stretch!
