1.1 golf spec

Does any one know the specification on a mk1 1.1 golf C. Bought one to run around for a few months and i'm just wondering what Hp, 0-60, top speed weight mpg etc it has.

The 'C' was the intro model in the post 1981 lineup, C-CL-GL-GTI.

55bhp, 4 speed, @90mph max, 0-60 17sec (?) @750kg(?) should get @35-40mpg.

Although bottom of the range and quite basic it did have laminated windscreen, halogen lights, rear seat belts, rear wiper, 3 speed fan etc that many other early 80s cars didn't have.

Being light weight(ish) it was quite nippy and still very usable today except poss for long motorway journeys.

    50 bhp  -   0-60 about 17 secs– but seems quicker.
    very light as basic car- 30-35 mpg.
