(Buget) Prosport sportline suspension kit?

Hi guys,

I was interested in this suspension kit available on
http://www.coiloversdirect.co.uk/mk1-golf-prosport-sportline-kit/prod_107.html

I was wondering if they would also fit the cabrio and if anyone has them fitted.
Are they any good?
I heard they used to be jamex and that there reasonable price-quality related.
What do you guys think?

Thanks, Ben

have a look on ebay for proper coilovers, they look poor!

I have hot tunning ones on my cab, set low, does the job, but not perfect, but that is impossible when lowering.

I would run coil overs everytime as you can set the ride height level, fixed are a 'mare

Had 2 sets of fixed on a mk 3 GTI before coil overs, both sat higher ar passenger side.

Projekt Frustration :

White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!

Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.

i suppose ill have to see for myself as i ordered them on friday, cheap as chips so if they are rubbish , ill be able to warn others about them.

ive always found coilovers too stiff nd uncomfy, good for cicuits but i live in spain nd the mountain roads arnt too smooth.

Ill let you guys know when i got them fitted nd tested.
Who knows, they might just be worth it.

Thanks, Ben

Be sure you do, I'd be interested in hereing what they are like. Cheap Coilys suck alot worse than cheap Shocks & Sprngs!

All down to taste and preference I guess.

I would agree that cheap matched shocks and springs would work better than coils, but in my case looks are more important…..

Its been a month now and still havent received anything yet, has anyone got any idea how long it should take normally to reach spain fom the uk?
They never gave me an option for witch postal service to use.
All they asked for was 35 pound shipping costs nd everything was payed through paypal.
Should i be able to get my money back incase it doesnt reach??
Sorry to be bothering you guys about this but their custommer service is sort of rubbish nd im starting to get a bit worried.

I got a mail back from coilovers direct today.
It said they thaught they had the sportline kit  in stock but it wasn´t.
So now its on back order nd they simply forgot to let me know.
It should take about 4 weeks to arive to them nd then they will send it to me.
Im guessing ill just have to wait another 6 weeks or so.
