Can you believe it, this is the 6th year that Volksfest Wales has been up and running! Already dubbed (excuse the pun) as a new, improved mini Vanfest, the organisers have pulled out all the stops to bring you a fun-filled family weekend that won’t cost a fortune!

Friday night is guaranteed to be a good one; we’ve managed to get Fat Barry’s Soul Band booked!! Fat Barry’s are well known and loved in South Wales and we thought it’s about time people from all over the UK had the chance to see them! This alfresco gig will be open to the public so we expect a larger than average crowd to attend and boogie on down!

Saturday will be a bit mad, firstly, we’ve got a ‘hunt the Christmas decorations’ competition for the kids in the morning, then the infamous ‘Porthcawl Crawl’, after that its back to Margam Country Park for a mass participation world record attempt (at least you’re guaranteed to pull one cracker that weekend!), there's a communal BBQ area, a Christmas themed family party and all that will end chilling out around the bonfire.

Sunday as you probably know is the main show day with the show & shine competition (22 classes), winners display, club stands, commercial vehicle display, Mr & Miss Volksfest Wales (over 16s) and a whole lot more!

There will be the usual traders and auto jumble, VWs for sale, catering, licenced beer tent, kids entertainment area, patrolling security and on-site mechanics (phew!!) available throughout the weekend.

So if you’re still in a dilemma what to do on that weekend get yourself to Volksfest Wales (the fastest growing V-Dub Show on the planet!!) and experience some good ole warm Welsh hospitality!

Weekend ?5 per adult and ?1 per child
?5 per unit per night to camp
(camping available from 12.00noon on Friday)
Sunday ?4 per adult and ?1 per child

*If you do not want to camp but want to participate in the weekends activities, pay entry on the Friday and you will be issued with a security wristband, which will enable you to visit the showground as many times as you want throughout the weekend! Please not that all cars will be parked in a holding area which will be closed at midnight*
