Hi,

I was going to go to Viva Skeg Vegas, but something came up unfortunately. Did you go?
As for Northern meets the nearest one is the North West meet, which I've been to once, nice bunch and great cars, but it's just too far for me to go to again unfortunately (I'm near Scarborough) There was a small meet in York not so long ago, so with any luck that might be repeated. It almost happened at Leeds, but York won the vote, so keep an eye out in the regional meets section and I'm sure the summer will bring some more to choose from. I know the North West Meet would be more than happy to see another member at their next meet if you can make it! See their thread at the top of this section - and the North West page under 'regions' on the left.

skeggy

hey,
 cheers for getting in touch.
yeah i managed to get there,it was good, not quite as big as i expected but then again i heard it was the first one they've held, the weather was pretty good too,i've only been to stanford before and was hoping to have a shop around for some bits, i've only had the car a couple of weeks ended up puttin a new clutch in it last week, and ended up with a bit of a tuning bug, do you have any pointers as to where to start looking for info on the 1.8  8 valve i don't fancy the engine swap route, any help would be great, i heard that olds cool have a meet at clifton moor i might check them out and i'll check that thread out too cheers

Now that would be handy for me!
As for technical engine info, just start a thread in the 'technical' section under 'big block injection' and find out whatever you need to know. The folks on here (with the exception of me) have infinite knowledge! Good luck with it.

I am going to organise another Mk1 meet in York once I get my finger out, pick a decent venue (one that is open this time  ) & get a date agreed with the majority.
In fact I might even do it now ……
