South West Meet 20 - Taunton

Hi everyone!

The next South West meet will be held at Taunton on Sunday the 15th of April at 12pm. For more info please see the South West Regional page on the left hand menu of the website.

We haven't managed to get a meet together for the last two months so lets make this one another big one

Please post below if you are able to attend so we can get some idea of numbers. Maybe we could do a drive out somewhere this time too?

I've updated the regional page now as I went through a different way to edit it. The formatting has gone and the map isn't displaying but hopefully this can be fixed. I'll pm Paul about it.

Other regions have got pics of attending members cars up on there so if you want to pm me some pics then I'll get them up once I've got a few together.

Never been to a meet before, is this the closest meet to Cornwall?

Does anyone take MK1s to Run to the Sun or is that just air cooled?

This is the same day as the GTI Spring Festival, at Santa Pod. Its probably sufficiently far away, not to affect numbers though. Its also the same day as NWM18.

I'll try and make this one, May even dust the helios blue campaign off for it's first trip to taunton after two year of ownership.

Cool, that will make 2 Helios Campaigns 8)

I'm hopefully picking up my first MK1 on Thursday so if I do I'll be there for sure!

Will it be ok for my uncle to come in his old beetle?

Yeah no probs! The more dubs the merrier It'll have to tag along on the end of the line of Mk1's though :wink:

Lhasa green 1.8 GTi mint bodywork (no rust or rot) standard at the moment, got coilovers on order just trying to work out what wheels to put on it, fancy some WRD Mesh 15"

LOL @ tagging at the back if you can ignore the paint (blue + spray paint black + primer lol) it isn't that bad it's in the early stages of being restored

Not sure what there is in the local area, once we went to McDonalds  The only thing with having a run out is we might miss late commers at the Harvester if we all dissapear off. Any suddestions welcome!
