south wales meets for 2011

hi all
well lets start this year and try to get the ball rolling with south wales
how about 11am march 20th at sarn park services, then on to fish and chips at porthcawl, which didn't happen last time
noted big norm and welsh mk1 going to agm
also there are several meets we could discuuss about at the meet

Hi Guys, either of you coming to Ultimate Dubs the weekend before? all being well i'll try and make this meet, is a bit of a distance from me but as long as i havnt got n e thing on that weekend ill be there

I wont be going to ultimate dubs, cant get time off work.

Ill just be doing 2 shows this year (AGM & Volksfest Wales)

Its a tidy distance for you to come down, be a good drive if the weather is ok tho.

ceri you wana think about Bristol Volksfest as well, always a good weekend :-)

also we could do a meet in say may and use the transporter bridge in newport and see if we can fill with mk1's, but we can discuss that in march meet

Haydn i just looked at that bridge now, never seen it before.

Is it a public bridge?

transporter is public , i will go and see, i think its a £1 to cross, thught of this to beat them macdonalds in the midlands, and attract those in newport

Hey guys.

I am on Haydn's "PM Hit-List"!

I don't really want to turn up without my Mk1 (currently off the road as per my thread…), though I will deffinately come along later in the year - hoping to go to the AGM gathering too (convoy anyone!  :mrgreen: ), but this is not yet confirmed as it would be a big trip for the little Golf with me, wife, kids and a weekends worth of camping gear!

I hope more turn up this time so we can put the South Wales region on the map!

so are 43 others on my hit list, hope we do get a better turn out than last time

Wont be able to make the meet will be away that weekend, booked last year. Hope it goes well.

I will be happy to do a meet mid time this year….my campathons " thats a weekend of camping " are legendary in the circle like minded individuals   8)  

My golf's still off the road…….Dont think I will ever get it going to be honest.

New owner this year car off road at the  moment but planning to be on the road in April  so will be up for a meet after that.
 
Transporter bridge sounds a cool idea and a great photo opportuity for next years calandar!! not been on it since I was a kid

If my car is up and running then I'd be very happy to make the trip to Sarn Park. My Golf knows that car park well - broke down and recovered from there on the way to Swansea before Xmas!
