NW convoy to Buxton 29th June

A few NW members have arranged to meet at J8 M65 to convoy to Buxton for the mega mk1 meet, so to avoid flooding the main thread we can arrange it here.

Staffords, I work on Time Tech site so will have a word with the Gestapo in the Stalag 13 watch tower and let them know we'll be using the front car park to meet up. What time are we looking at meeting up??

will take a spin over to the time tech site in next couple of days just to make sure. As for timing not too sure does anyone have the correct postcode for the time tech site and I will run through RAC planner. ANy preference on if we use motorways or not?

sorry wrong direction for me. anyone from abit further down than that who still wants to convoy it maybe worth meeting at lymm truck stop to convoy into buxton. (sorry for the hijack)

How long does it take to get to Buxton?? I've got a sat nav so we should be ok for getting there, can i also suggest that we meet a little earlier to make sure everyone arrives on time and to get some pre convoy piccies  :wink:

Djheap it don't matter to me if we use motorways or not so i'm easy. Obviously i can't speak for everyone though.

djheap, it's BB20 ….Blackburn Rd, Simonstone (A678).

It should take about an hour and a half if we go motorway (M66 & M60), off at Stockport then A6 to Buxton(driven there more times than I care to remember but a nice run once through Stockport) so could meet up with Boltonians & Mancunians en-route. So if we leave say 2hrs before meet time in Buxton should be plenty of time.  :y:

Guys count me in, Golf's in for MOT on Monday, she should pass (I hope). But I'll post a definite on Monday. I'll then join the AA , as thats the furthest she'll have been.

Buxton was 1pm so will meet everyone at the Time Park at 11am...

which direction are you traveling in to get to buxton from j8?

this is the Sunday be for the Monday when my golf in for full respray so she will look cock on for the annual meet.

We could meet A5OPY @ Heywood & Pilsworth Ind Est (Cinema car park) would only add 5 mins to journey. It's right on the side of M66.  :dontknow:

Was thinking the same myself or the big B&Q at Bury

Anyone else mind if we jump off the M66 at B&Q to collect A5OPY?? He said he will be there around 11.20 so its on route, we may even get a few more from that area  

fine with me the more we pick up on the way the better. Loads of time allowed to get there.

No last minute panicks for me, so far, unlike last time when I found a fuel leak and early-1800 renamed the car fireball1.

also looks like might pick up better weather as we travel towards buxton, forcast for buxton says sat and sunday sunny intervals 21 and 18c respectively.

Just a suggestion, shoot me down if i'm being a pain, but does anyone else fancy meeting around 10:45 for introductions and maybe a couple of pics? Don't know about the rest of you but i've not met any of you before except A5OPY and we are meeting him at Bury anyway. Just a suggestion
