North east meets

Hi does anyone know of any meets around durham newcastle or teeside?
looking to meet some mk1 golf owners

I'm from near Bishop Auckland.
There seems to be a few people up here with mk1's but I dont know of any meet as such.
Where abouts are you from?

i'm from south hetton near peterlee
yeah there aren't that many owners of them round here.
the only meet i know of is a sunday night at team valley but its not a vw meet.
I know of another meet at teeside retail park on a wednesday but i havent been for a few years

I'm not 100% but I think theres a VAG cars meet through at the Windmill on the A19 (just done the road from Peterlee) but I dont think its on during the winter months.
I'm planning on getting my mk1 back on the road for the summer so hopefully should get myself along to that one.

Cheers there used to be a meet at a19 test and tune but i don't know when its on i think it was the the 1st wednesday every month during the summer and i think it was either the 2nd or 3rd wednesday at metrocentre by toysrus
