We know this is the best Regional MK1OC meet. Lets keep it that way.

Confirmed by the Chairman at last years AGM that we are the best regional meet in the country

What does 2011 Milton Keynes Region have to offer. Curry night, Rolling Road, Treasure Hunt, Show & Shine, and representing the club on National and Local shows throughout the year.

Q. Where do i park?
A. In the car park next to the other Mk1`s (first left as you go in)

Q. What if my Mk1 isnt on the road just yet?
A. Come along anyway, there is a great source of knowledge and a local member may have spare parts

Q. Will my car be photographed and put on this fantastic website?
A. Yes, Spudfingers will have is camera ready for snaps. You may even be videoed and up on You Tube

Ok I know it's posted up late but let's see if we can have a better turn out than last month !!

I'll be there, but not on the Ducati, thanks to all for helping me to start it,
it ran perfect on the way home, including a stop for fuel.

ok so,

Ive decided to take the clipper off the road for the winter and get a second car.
 
if only it could be that simple, \ive got to have one, under a grand because im poor, want a VW or atleast a VAG, ive heard allsorts of opinions about diesels vs petrols etc. my missus has a mk2 GTD and is really good on fuel, so i was looking at diesel mk4 Polo 6n's, i did some research on MPG's of those compared to petrol 1.4 polo 6n's and from what i found they were coming out pretty similar…does anyone oout there know about MPG of small VW's?
 
So, i took the plunge and bought a 1.4 Polo 6n petrol and was hoping to see a better return on my fuel money…
 
.. im driving up to sheffield nearly every weekend which from me is 120 miles and in my 1.8 golf, there and back works out to be 35 to 40 quid, and the missus can do that in her mk2 diesel for 25 quid. I was hoping to get closer to that with the 1.4… but..
 
… its working out to be 30 to 35 quid in the polo which im dissappointed in as its a light car with a smaller engine.
 


can anyone please help me with my quandry? im also looking into the Lupo as Ive seen the new VW advert and they claim the Lupo can do 131MPG i just dont know what model they were refereing to. Would a 1.0 Lupo struggle on the motorway?
 
so please help me in my quest to find a cheap run around that wont struggle on the motorway.

I would have thought the polo would have been perfect. How are you driving the polo are you driving it like a granny or like a young boy who likes other boys !

The polo 1.4 8v are not that good on fuel, + it's prob same weight as your cabby anyway.

Going to try and book the mk1 in for it's MOT in the next week or two then I'm all set!!!  Me, Alaine and our tan's will be at this one!!!

Cyprus was good I'll stick some pics up at some point when I get 5 minutes.  Would recommend it!!!  It was around 26-34 degrees for the whole two weeks.  I actually arrived in England wearing flip-flops, shorts and a T-shirt…. just before my heart nearly stopped in the cold and my man-bits went INTO my body!!!

December meet defo at pub ant?  What should we do for entertainment at the xmas one?  Don't say "shave spuds hair off" I'm quite attached to it… litterally!!

Be careful of changing the event location/time etc… I asked to do it once and it didn't work out well as people got confused.  I have left it in the capable handds of Ant and Raj there-after… that taught me  :redfaced:

December meet may be meet at Ikea to avoid confusion and then at 8 pm drive to Caldecote arms for a pint ( of coke ) to be discussed at this months meet.
