meet in norfolk

i want to arrange a golf meet in norfolk some where. is anyone interested in helping sort one of these out?
preferably then go on to making it a regular monthly thing?

Where in Norfolk kings lynn way or further afield, keep me posted as lynn is only half hour from me and a few others on here, would be cool to have a local meet.  8)

we are in kings lynn so ya knigs lynn or hunstanton way as i can arrange to get the green out the front of the pier in hunstanton but rules will be that you have to be on there before 9 and cant leave till after 5 would this be ok with every body? i would like to know numbers too.

We have a meet every 3rd Thursday of the month (This Thursday )

  At the Bird in the Hand at Wrenningham, near Wymondham, Norfolk.

  This is a newly formed watercooled VW club for all types of Dub.

   We meet up from 7.00pm and usually the last to leave.

   We have about 10-15 at the last meet, but word is getting around (slowly) also the cold and dark nights arn't helping.

   We have the function room in the back, so well away from the locals!!!

  A good atmosphere with fellow minded dubbers

so what goes on at these meets then as i never been to one before?

A general chit chat really, we arn't into loud stereo's or max powered kitted cars.

     We are busy planning events for the year so any ideas are taken on board.

The green on the front of the pier would be cool as loads of peeps get there and it would be nice to give the bikers a bit of competition in the sunny months  8)

so Kelly are you coming to the stansted show on April 12th its a crackin show and well worth going, if you are we can meet up and drive there ?4 to get in  and a lot of peeps off this site go.

yes it deffinatly would be great to give the bikes a competition in the summer dubs are blatently better ya i think i will be going to stanstead were do you meet to go up there as there will prob be a few of us all going from my end. do you have any idea how many people will be wanting to come meet at the green. will be great fun in the sumer!

i live about a 20 min drive from auto cab and a further 30 to lynn

but sunny hunny sounds like a crack count me in.

just give me a time and a place and i will try and attend.

as for stanstead show i will deffo be along i attended last year in a mk4 astra so this year i'll be in the mk1 golf finally! its 1st proper show season

anywhere to meet for the run to stansted, think of a place and i will be there, i left at 7am last year and had a full day there well worth the early start.Keep the thread going about the sunny hunny meet and i will try and get peeps interested from this end  8)

i got fed up of trying to organise one and having no interest!!!  

seem to be a few mk1's in pboro too but none of them post

norfolk also seems to be well populated but again no posts untill this one!!

no it wont slip away it will deff happen don't worry. there will deff be a meet in hunny. but when the weather gets a bit better. the rules are as follows: it will be a sunday and cars have to be on the green before 9 am and can not leave until after 5pm

yes there are plenty of cars out there and lots of people saying they will come to meets.. can be a little demoralising… we have pooled both the Mk1 owners forum and ClubGTI in to one meet and ever since we have had a Norfolk meeting going sucessfully.. and have loads planned for this year… shows, trips track days etc..

the next planned meet is on the 20th march, and is held on the 3rd thursday of each month, we meet at the Bird in Hand, Wreningham. It has a big car park, and good beer/food… see www.dubgeneration.co.uk for more details..

We also have a club stand at Snetterton on the 16th March for the Mk2 Golf GTI race series….
