Essex Meet 7

The next regional meet is is fast approaching - 28th October  (details on regional page)

Thought it may be nice to stay on and have a bite to eat as the food always looks very nice, if any one is interested.
Also I am hoping to go to the classic car show on the Sunday at the nec if anyone is interested in going up.

I'm off on Green Camp with my sqn and that's the day we get back.  :evil:  I'll try and get dropped up at the pub for later on as I should get back at 2:30pm. See what I can do.

Right, where do you guys meet? What time does it normally kick off?
I won't have my MK1 with me as its in several bits!

And the only other thing that might get in the way for that, is i might be going to pick up my Syncro!! YAY!!

The regional meets are held on the fourth Saturday of the month at 3.00pm
The venue is the White Hart p.h. (Wacky Warehouse) Colchester road, Springfield, Chelmsford. CM2 5PG.

It's just off the Boreham interchange of the A12, dead eay to find.  If you want my mobile number in case send me a pm.

Hello all well im back from my holiday to Afghan ! so once im sorted out should hopefully make it to a meet, although wont be in the mk 1 as its off the road till prob April nxt year  !! will be good to meet up with you all.

Hi im new to the mk1 owners club, im still not insured on my golf which ive only just recently bought, but i live about 2 minutes drive from the white hart, just by aldi, so im thinking of coming down just to take a look around. do you usually meet at the white hart every month or is it completely random?

Right think i can get to this so hoprfully see you all there, although will be in a F**D Ka ! as my golf is off the road unfortunatly

I know the feeling dude, i'll probably be in my Fraud Fiesta, as my MK1 is in pieces and my Syncro hasn't got all of its tickets sorted yet.

But i hope to see you all there!!  (plus i'm looking forward to this pub lunch!!)

Mines a Carb, but the carb lump is going into my MK1 Cab.
I've got a few interesting plans for the Syncro though!  :y:

Now i know you've got one…. i'm gonna do my best to pop up in that if i can.

Yep mines a carb.  Bought it to use for back and forth to work.  I'll pick it up in the next couple of weeks when they get their new car.  It aint pretty but its got 12mths mot and runs well. The folks i'm getting it off bought it new, I remember the day they got it 8O way back in '89.   Have you seen www.vwsyncro.co.uk ?  Looks like a site that may come in handy.

I'm on that forum already, theres never anyone about though! must be a testament to there rarity! lol

I haven't got it yet, but i should be picking it up before the meet on sat. Its not in good nick truth be told, looks abit ropey, but it'll be fab when its sorted.

Going to have a few things done to the engine whilst its in the syncro, then have it out and get some serious work done to it and put it in the cab.

I'll tell you about it when i see you! lol

Our little meet in Woodham starts on the 6th of Nov and it would be great if some of the Essex people on here could make it down too.

Yeah, road tax  purely a utility vehicle.  But then again i've a nice set of compomotive alloys that'll look good on it
