Essex meeeeeeeeets, calling all Essex people !!!

Despite it being Nov Im just putting out the feelers for the Essex meet location for when things start to heat up again.

Gazmo80 has organised some meets at the 8 Ball cafe on the A12, which I think is a great location (Great parking,Easy to find, proper coffee ) plus we normally go off for a little drive after a chat and coffee/bite to eat.

This doesnt mean this will become the focal point for every  Essex meet,   as I appreciate it might not be local for everyone. Hence the reason for this post.

At present my golf is sorned so not sure if any meets will take place till next year, unless there is enough interest.

I know there are a few of us in Essex area and it would be great to all be able to meet up and get to some shows next year. Also a good chance to attend other local meets once in a while ie a trip up to Norwich mk 1 meet for example.

Im hoping that the meets will become a regular monthly event for us all and go from there really. I do however appreciate we all have work / family etc commitments that might get in the way from time to time.

Glad to see you've stepped up as host, be good to get things rolling in Essex again, was good when we were active and had regular meets.

I'll be there whenever I can make it, I'm still without a MK1 atm tho, so prob wont do run outs for a while (I spose I could hang at the back so you can pretend I'm not with you)  

Anyway, good luck. You're gonna be a fab host!  8)

Hi, I've just joined (see the newbie thread) The Golf is currently being put back together but it would be good to get involved in a meet. I'm not to far from the 8 Ball but I don't mind a bit of a drive to a meeting place.

when mines back on the road i'll be along, i drive passed 8ball cafe alot just never stopped by.. and would be up for checking out different places around the area

Cheers Debs, hope I can get the meets upto what we had when I first joined the club and take it from there.  On the drive outs/road trips will let you be the safety vehicle at the back if your not in your golf  :roll:  :wink:

Thanks for the quick and positive feed back guys, if people are up for a pre Christmas meet at the 8 Ball then how about a sat or sun meet ??( Even if Mk 1's are tucked away) as day light is in short supply at the moment.

Right Thinking of SAT 3rd of Dec at 10 am at the the 8 Ball Cafe for a meet and greet for everyone. What do people think, hope it doesnt clash with everyones plans ??

my golf wont b moveing 2 quickly atm as the engine in bits replacing every single gaskit on it and the cambelt   lol its all apart just got 2 put it back 2 gether wishe me luck hahahaha
