anyone from glasgow paisley area

hi all,just wondering again if anyones from glasgow paisley area,i'm on glasgow rd white mk1 cabrio bbs rs wheels black roof ,in paisley and am prolly well known to most in the area,however am hopeless with who's who so please post up if your local to me,is there ever any west coast meets?

Hi Stuart

I am in West Lothian and there is a handful of guys from through your way but they arent very active as far as I know.

I run the monthly meets in the Spring to Autumn and the first run out will either be March or probably April.

Last year we made 4 shows and we had 2 drives out.

Next May we are going away for a weekend up North for a couple of days of driving and some beer.

I will look at next years shows after Xmas and see what ones we can make and get a stand at.

If I can help u out, give me a shout.

Just to add to what Chris's note, I'm in East Kilbride, and attended most of last year's meets with Chris and the guys.

I know of a couple of folks in Motherwell and Greenock, who I said I would convoy with from West of Scotland to the first scottish meet, as an idea for new folks, to break the ice and make them all feel welcome.

All comers are very welcome, regardless of the age or condition of your Mk1

cheers chaps,ive prolly spoken or waved at most of the local chaps over the years and certainly the scene over here is pretty hitt or miss.

certainly trying to get more active withj the car.lol 15 years in a year mot to mot in the golf.

like wise if i can lend any of my detailing skills with paint correction let me know.

Sounds good, I want my Sportline paint corrected early next year before the show season and after I have had a wee bit paint done.

I just took on the regional host role last year and got it off the ground last year.

Check the Regional forum for the Scottish meets thread for info after the year.

We will attend 3 or 4 shows next year and a few drives in Central Scotland.

In May we are going away for a weekend to Fort William then upto Skye.

Hope you can make some of them.

thought i'd re bump this in the past year dont think ive been passed by any mk1 golfs in Paisley..lol think most of them are like mine  ,,an ornament
