(NWM21) Definite north west meet! yay!

hello!, i'm getting a bit bored so does anyone fancy having a north west meet sometime soon? i personally won't be going to many, if any shows this year so if anyones up for it, then give me a pm or post up here and we'll get something sorted out. i'm in Bury just north of manchester by the way. Tom.  :wink:

DjEv and I were talking of having one nearer our side of Lancs (Preston/Blackburn/ Accrington) so Bury won't be too far to travel.

Anyone else In East Lancs to bring back a sense of North West about the meet instead if Wirral !!!  :mrgreen:

The Wiggin Tree is just off the M6 junction 27….

Its been done before and could be said by some that its had its day BUT in opinion it worked well, was central (which Preston brook isnt, very) and has a good view on a clear day!! Bonus!

Its up to the members.

I've been keeping a low profile for the last 12 months due to having no internet at home but as I'm due to get connected again, I intend to take more of an active role and pick up the mantle of NWM Regional Organiser again.

i would quite like 1 in or around manchester, that was the only bad bit about preston brook was the travelling time, the wiggin tree sounds alright to me. glad i got a response to! checked last night and saw no posts so its good people are up for a meet.  :mrgreen:

Im up for a meet around Manchester .

Whilst we're bickering about locations,( did I mention that the Wirral is a lovely place with lots of open space and country roads), Can we get an idea of dates. I work 3 out of 5 weekends. I'm available 18/19 August (VW festivsal Leeds), or 25/26 august.

I wouldn't say its bickering.

The North West is such a spread out place that Owners from across the region don't want to spend half the day travelling to a meet for an afternoon and then return.

The meet location was originally picked in May 05 due to members at that time. Over time they have dropped off or just not bothered coming along for one reason or another.

If members wish to have one in Lancashire, I don't mind organising The Wiggin Tree again.

While we're at it, during show season its hard work to have weekend meets so how do you feel about a weekday evening? We did a Thursday last time and the car park was ours.

Come on post up with ideas and we'll thrash it out.

What you doing in Bebington ? that's the wrong side of the Wirral. We could meet on one of the beaches and drive around the coast                   (Thurstaston, West Kirby, Hoylake, Meols, New Brighton etc.)

1 for either Preston Brook or the Wirral.

3rd for The Wiggin Tree
