Yeah will be in touch, need to get the golf back on the road first, dropping the keys off to my mate who's gonna take a truck down and collect it! Exciting, haven't driven it in 3 1/2 years though!

Giving this a bump, car should be back on the road soon so would be cool to have a london meet in July?

Yeah I was thinking the ACE Cafe, it's about the only place, just a pain in the bum for me as i'm the other side of the city, 1 hour haha!

I'll keep pushing this thread to generate interest and then speak to Ade about getting the Group set up, so I can contact people about it

My golf goes back in for MOT re-test today, so with a bit of luck I should be collecting mind this weekend, after not driving it for almost 4 years!

Ah awesome, love the colour!

My second car (after a month of drive a Vauxhall Corsa B for a month) was a MK3 1.4 - Drove like a slug but got me onto the itch of the golfs.

Then went for a MK4 (PD) TDi - fun but too easy to drive

Then for the last 7 years I've had the MK1, but like I said not drove it in nearly 4!

The dream is to put a TDi from a later golf in the MK1 - one day!

When mine is on the road I would be up for a meet. I am based in Loughton, Essex J26 of M25
