Hood looks great, I bought a black Smart Pure same as yours new in 2004, loved it and made many modifications, a remap meant you could flash Mondeos out of the way on the Motorway and the look on the drivers faces was priceless when they saw what was overtaking them.

thanks for that, I was amazed at the performance out of the little 700cc turbo engine, the golf feels like a luxury limo

your right it could fold down a bit better, the straps are not there. can't see me getting round to putting this right.

You don't need to remove the hood to fit the straps to the frame but they should come fixed to the new roof? Open the roof 1/2 way and feed the straps through the pad and pop rivet to the frame, 5 minute job.
