2x golf 1 !

Hello ! 

I'm new on this forum , been following alot of topics last few months , time to also make a topic ! 

Golf 1 1.1 red , bought this paint was pretty bad , nothing a good polish coulndt fix ! had some problems with the engine , to low pressure , so found a new block 1.1 with 50000kms on it ! still need to put it in ! 

car is from 1983 ! 

Golf green , 1979 bought this because i also wanted one with the smaller light gonna put the red one for sale soon ! 


the green one has problems with MOT have no idea how to fix it , its a 1.4 aex engine with r1 carbs the problem is MOT dindt let the carbs pass , any has an idea how to find a inlet manifold + carb that fits the 1.4 aex engine , i cant go with the r1 carbs they just wont let me pass MOT … 

so i'm kinda stuck , if it passen i'm gonna do a respray a 20vt swap an alot of goodies ! 

if any of you have ideas , any inlet + carb that fits please let me know so desperate ! sorry for the bad english !

so swapping engines just for MOT because i cant get passed MOT with the carbs , the 1.4aex is out , gonna start on the 1.1 from the red one , then into the green one ! loads of work ! 

That's a lot of work for an MOT!
