mario1942 Golf MK1

Hallo!

Yesterday I've bought myself a Golf MK1. It is registered as 1.1 from 1982.

I don't really know much about it - it has not been painted yet, no rust and others - It has not been used for the last 3 years because of the accident. I'm the third owner.

But there are several problems:
- Two of the tyres are 155/70R13 and two 175/70R13 - i don't know which pair is genuine for this year (ET 45 5" rims)?
- I got FS EXIM 6Jx15H2 ET35  rims for it  - will they be ok for that car and what tyres should I choose?
- I don't know whether it's EU Golf or US Rabbit - on the back is the badge with the rabbit but… - I'm not sure, but i think my Golf has GTI overlays instead of original 'half' overlays
- I have one plastic and one metal mirror - which one is the proper one?
- I used to think that I have 1.1 engine but I searched Google for pics and inferring from the valve cover it might be 1.3
- i have a strange tube going from valve cover - i don't know where to put it :/

i think 175 was the standard tyre size for thoses rims

i should image it is a eu golf as USA rabbits ar very rarly over in europe plus it does have some of the extras that the Rabbit has like the side markers and bit metal bumpers

Hey Mario,

I'm will Matt (jellybelly) on this one, the US Rabbits would have the big reflective plastic bits on the front wings / rear of the body - so unless they've been filled in you'd find holes for thee if it was Original US
