Golf mk1 clipper cab

New to the forum and mk1 ownership after a lifetime of owning mk2s, had a my cab since august and thought I'd share some pics!

Spec is:
88 E so one of the first clippers
Factory 1.8 carb with 5spd box
Lowered a touch
7j cookies refurbed gold with slight stretch on tyres (fronts only for now, matching rears on order)
Repaint in mk3 vr6 chilli red
Pressed plates
Custom retrim with red piping and stitching
Power flow exhaust
Single light debadged grill

Thank you, it's not perfect but its tidy enough and it was well priced so happy with. Roll on the summer - only driven it a handful of times since I got it!

Looks tidy, any plans or just going to enjoy it?

It looks like the drivers side of the bonnet is low at the hinge end, bonnet is held on with a couple of bolts and there is some adjustment/movement there which should level it up.

There should also be a couple of straps which pull the roof in when it’s folded down and yours seem to be missing as when folded down it’s not sitting right. The straps might be there just not pop riveted to the frame?

Thanks, for now just tidy it up and enjoy it.

Theres certainly a few tweaks here and there to be done, not noticed the bonnet until you pointed it out so I'll have a look at that when I'm in the garage next.

I need to look at the roof as it doesnt look like its fastened in properly from the inside, I'll take a pic to show what I mean. Looks very unfinished and tatty inside with the roof up at the back.
