1.9 16v Turbo makes boost again
After being parked up for 11 years my MK1 Golf hits the road again.
It’s in need of a lot of TLC but I was amazed when it passed it’s MOT with a few minor bits needed…
I’ve missed the sound of it making boost, really makes me feel young again.
Time to start sourcing the parts to make her ready for shows and the strip next year.

Been busy getting the golf back running, unfortunately the tank has gone rusty and I’ve had the replace it…

While the tank and rear beams out might as well give it a fresh bit of undercoat to protect it for another 30 years

Bit of a rub down and fresh paint on the rear beam and I had a set of polly bushes so chucked them on.
Now just need it to stop raining so I can put it back on the car…

You’ve been asking for the engine bay so here’s a pic.. I’ve not started tiding the engine bay yet but here’s the heart of the beast..
