Not bad for £200!
Hi all,
Thought I'd share my photobucket album rather than posting individual pictures on here…
It's a bit of a mismatch of photos but you'll get the jist of what's been done.

So, I bought the Clipper from a work colleague for £200! He was using it as a daily car and it constantly had the 'cutting out' problem. The lad just wanted shut of it.
I took it on, not knowing what the problem was but after researching many a post on here, the fault did indeed lie with a rusty filler neck.
The filler neck was replaced and fuel lines were blasted out with compressed air.
This was the only real problem with the car and it didn't take long at all to get the car running nicely so decided to turn my attention to cleaning it up and replacing bits as I went along.
More preventative maintenance than anything.
Here we are, a year on, and the car purrs very nicely.
Very proud of my efforts and have learnt a lot about mechanics, auto electrics and how to put enough time aside for my very patient Fiancé who has grown to love the car too.
Thanks to all of you that have offered advice, wouldn't have made it here without you.
Cheers!

I know you have done a lot of work from your pictures but for £200 you got a hell of a bargin.
How does your work mate feel now when he see's your car?

To be honest mate… I thought it might be a sore subject once I'd finished it and got it looking the way it does.
He is genuinely glad the car has gone to a good home but also feels gutted that he hadn't got the time, money or know how to bring the car up to scratch.
Not actually a sore subject at all and the lad has said on a number of occasions that the car would have just rotted on his driveway if he hadn't have sold it.
