It’s a long time since some of the shelves have seen daylight   

I know that feeling

I'm determined to get the hatchback on the road for a bit this year! Any meets happening near Huddersfield anymore?

New water pump, thermostat, cam belt, cam belt tensioner, service kit and coil arrived so when they are fitted it's in for an mot    first time in about 6 or 8 years

Just got insured with all mods including roll cage, gti engine, brakes etc etc for £92.20 for the year  

Get some more pictures up

I've got to sort the garages out so I can get them out again and give them a wash but they are definitely 50 footers  

Got them both emptied and a quick rinse the other day

They need a good polish!

This is getting expensive now   after giving the hatchback a full service and sorting a couple of small bits out I was just flushing the water out one last time, filled up with coolant and went to start it….. no fuel pump! Turns out the ancient fuse box had melted a bit   so with new relays etc just to be on the safe side, what was going to be a quick service and on the road for a play has turned into nearly a grand worth of parts.

Looking a bit tidier, just waiting for the fuse box bits to turn up so I can hopefully get it mot'd

Finally back on the road………… just in time for winter    
It went straight through the mot, well it failed once on emissions (it has been sat for 11 years ish and has only been started and warmed up a few times) so a bit of a spirited run and she's fine! Did get an advisory for stretched tyres though.

And……. It's back off the road! One of the rear stretched tyres decided it didn't want air anymore after meeting a pothole. Two new (slightly wider) tyres getting fitted on Tuesday as the bead was damaged

Well, it's fought me every step of the way but it's finally back on the road again after having to order valves for the bbs rims that the tyre destroyed as the valve hole is a different size. So it's all road legal just in time to put it away for the winter  

I've decided the caddy is also coming out this year too  

New clutch, radiator, gear linkage kit and drive flange seal on the golf lately as I’ve decided to give it a bit of an engine tidy up. New wheels too because I got bored……. And crosshair headlights…… what next?
