Slowly Slowly Catchy Monkey

I got my Mk1 Cabby back in 2010 and she looked like this

I got under way with the work required and slowly found more wrong than thought I got her cheap as the owner needed to get her off the road or risk her being towed away.
She had been fitted with all brand new running gear, but I did know that the body was going to need some work, what I did not expect was that all the gear fitted was going to be either done wrong or just not bolted to the car at all.
On finding things like this I decided to strip her right back and do all that is required in one go but in the process I suffered and knee injury but before that stopped me I got hr looking like this

Now that I am back on my feet I have been Cracking on like I said I new the body work needed a lot doing to it I also had to replace one of the doors as to much had been cut out of it for some reason altering the structural integrity of the door below are a series of photos showing what has taken work and how I have her looking now

The above wing was badly damaged but you will see later that I have worked hard and saved the wing and below a shot of the rear that has taken a lot of work

The above few show a bit of the work that has gone onto the body below are a few showing how she currently sits

All this work has been done without a proper setup I have to wait for the dry weather to get her out from my garage, then if it is to cold for the filler I am using a heater to dry the filler out properly so that I can work with it.

My plans now are to finish tidy the last little bits up on the outside of the car and prime her ready for paint, once that is done I will need to sort out the inside of the car and then get the inside sprayed so that I can then get the car sent to the paint booths for a colour change.

Then the real fun will begin putting her back together and finding all the bits I need for the inside as her interior was not in the best of conditions

Bit of a bumpy start to your project, but looks like you have things nicely in hand now

Take it your filling the swage lines down the side? Interesting to see how it looks when finished.

Good luck with it all.

Yes I am filling them in I thought about different things to do and decided I want it to look clean but also different to others so and so decided to fill then.

I am also looking to colour change it to black and just accent the out side with bits of chrome here and the to help make it pop

so got the grinder back out with a flap disk on and it turned out to be this

so looks like time to get some more fibre glass filler to do the repair
