Showing out of stock for alternator belt but any 950x10 belt is ok as not usually a problem part unless it's not adjusted properly.

Why are you changing the water pump? it's not like these modern cars when the water pump is run from the cambelt and easier to change while every thing is apart as on the Mk1 the water pump is on the front of the engine.
I'm still running the original water pump after 270,000 miles!
As long as the car has had regular coolant changes and coolant at the right mixture so things don't start to rust you should be fine.
P.s This post is in the wrong section really as this is the projects and section, hopefully the mods will move it so you will get more reply's.

A new thermostat cover if yours is plastic is also a good idea and you may as well fit a new thermostat while it's all apart.
Good idea to keep the old parts as you know they work in case you have problems further down the line.
DONT BUY THIS TYPE

Cam belt as long as you change it every at the most 60,000miles or 6 years you should be fine as long as the tension is set right and the tensioner OK.
Not ever had it happen but if the cam belt does snap the engines are meant to be ok as there is room for the valves to be down and the pistons to go up with out hitting each other!
If you want to order the stuff online there is Euro car parts sister company which has good prices. :-)

This one is not sealed in a vacuum pack bag like mine was and if you look closely the tensioner is made by INA, same as the one from euro car parts!
If you do want a genuine VW belt give your local dealer a call I expect it will be cheaper than the ones on ebay….
