No Face ... The Project

Post

Back to the top
Hello all

this was my old golf, she was a 1990 clipper which was nice at the time but IMO all clippers look the same just about

so i took her bumpers off smoothed and filled and lowered her more of banded steels and i thought i was the cats whiskers in it

but due to work i had to sell her :(

now my daily is a lupo which is modified and my current show car and also my daily

but now i am bored and wanted a new project as i like to get my hands dirty, not one of these girly girls. i like to do alot if not all the work myself and i NEEDED to get another mk1 for sure.

so i bought a 1982 irish mk1 that is half way through a 1.8t conversion.

but she is a mess, its very half arsed and full of mistakes but she is mine now

let the love begin !!!

Welcome to the tintop  :cool:  The shell looks solid - is it?

Judging by the lupo I guess it wont be staying black?

Cool a nice 3 door.

I shall be watching with interest. I presume it's going to be 'show car standard' when it's done?

Perhaps you'd like to have a chat with my Wife? She won't even empty the ash tray in her cars  :(   :lol:

gonna be a long project i reckon as she has almost no good interior parts and i cant get the engine to spark

its running 12v over the coil packs but drops to almost nothing on a key turn

the power cables are huge and very badly connected so gonna get some with less girth and start from there
