My Lhasa Green GTI

Post

Recently bought my first MK1 and looking forward to going through it and getting it back on the road. It's gonna be a long project that will take time. The shell is surprisingly solid so it doesn't look like it needs much welding so far but I'm sure I will find more problem areas as I strip it back. Here's some pics:

Some of the stripping down:

Can anyone tell me what's going on with these rear turrets please? It looks like a brace was going to be fitted but hasn't been.

Will it be easy enough to put them back to standard?

Welcome to the forum!

Blimey those turrets are a little sturdy!!  :o

You can buy the arch tubs to replace them - not always available. Have a word with Mark at Classic-VW first funk-star

Looks like a good project! Got a LHD Lhasa Green here too so surely I'll be following that build to give me more motivation lol

What is the front part of the floorpan like?

Did a little more today. Took drivers side wing off. Looks solid underneath.
