So iv just got my self my 1988 Golf mk1 cabrio gti for £250. Needs alot of work but prepared! Atm it doesnt run becouse it hasnt beem run for a year and the lad took everydrop of fuel out ofit. updates will be slow due to not having much spare money atm. But heres the few pics i have.

For me personally I'd stay with the original dash, but I'm a bit of an originality geek! Polo dashes have gone in MK1s before but I'm not sure if it's any more tricky on a Cabby due to the extra bracing under the dash?

Must have had a mk2 dash fitted before you had it then, as the cabby should have the same as the tin top.

I have a 6N polo/ibiza dash in mine.MikePlumb said
one that im tempted by is to convert it to a dash from a 6n1 polo? opinions and if anyone has done this how easy/hard isit and any tips on how to do it like extra parts or just a quick how to? thanks
