Thanks rich, yes I read that guide and wasn’t any the wiser .Darren done my wiring loom way back when and he knows his stuff. That other guy yan seems to think his way was right. I’ve tried it both ways gasket on and off . Yes my dizzy was in right position. I don’t have the dials to do a compression test although I think that’s my next move.

Howdy folks I managed to get a camera and put it down the spark plug hole no marks on the piston bar no 1 cylinder. Pictures are not great . Does this look like a mark from the valve?

I just got my hands on a tester and these are the figures I got
No1 cyl : 130
No 2 cyl 120
No3 cyl: 160
No4 cyl 150

I had a bit of time on my hands and eventually got car started. I was working off the marks on the crankshaft and the intermediate pulley and car wouldn’t start..So I reverted back to the way I normally set it up.0 dg on flywheel and the camshaft marks and it started first go. However once it got up to temperature it started stalling. Any idea what would cause that?
