This isn’t really a build thread as I've pretty much finished it…..  I rebuilt and modified it over a couple of years with a huge amount of help and advise from club members so I though I'd put something on here and if anyone has any questions I could maybe help out! I is in Bristol
Engine is a  TSR Donnington 2000cc, lightened flywheel and 16v clutch. Four branch manifold, custom stainless exhaust Audi throttle body and WUR, K&N filter Bigger oil cooler Wizards of Nos Nitrous system

Setup and Dyno'd at Interpro in Bristol (i can recommend these guys, they have experience with K-jet) - 163bhp at the flywheel.  +50bhp nitrous shot.
Next mods are to fit Vernier Cam Pulleys and refurbed WUR for a more accurate tune and i have a progressive NOS controller to fit which will help deliver the gas smoother over the rev range (although i do like the current “kick” you get at wide open throttle!)
Brakes - standard MK2 servo upgrade with Willwood four pots up front and standard drums at rear, stainless hoses. Suspension - KW coilovers, i ran some budget coilies for a while but couldn't stand the harsh ride, i’m still thinking of going back to standard springs even now!  Fully polybushed.
Wheels I bought two sets of Borbets to get the right lip/offsets i wanted and sold a set on.  Currently the front lips are bare polished aluminium which are a nightmare to keep shiny, need to get them lacquered really but i don’t want to lose the shine!
Body - full respray and all rusty bits replaced: new wing, front and rear valance, new sills. I rebuilt the sunroof from two donors and had the rusty drain channels welded up.  Uprated halogen lights and loom.  Uprated alternater 90A. Interior - i rebuilt the drivers seat from a donor because the bolsters were knackered.  New headlining made from material sourced from Germany by http://www.equinoxcustominterior.co.uk  (highly recommended) Rear quarter cards replaced with mdf to house sunken stealth 6x9s. Sub, amp e.t.c I think thats it, pretty much finished but of course i have a huge list of things to do that i didn’t quite get right or cut corners the first time round!

Dude, love your golf!
Quite like the old Merc in the background too - is that another project?
