Engine and brakes
Hello guys
I have a mk1 cab from 93 and it has a 2h engine, so I wondering, does the engine from a mk3 8v ABA (engine code) fit in mk1 cab. And is it worth doing it. And maybe som mods to increase hp. I got almost a complete golfmk3 car.
And question about brakes, can se that mk3 gti hav a 256mm front brakes and calibers are bigger, then those are on my car. Will it fit .

Forgive me as I dont know those engine numbers off the top of my head but with regards to engine transplants from Mk3's I personally wouldn't bother with anything less than the 2.0l 16v ABH lump
As for the brakes you'll need 15" wheels

Hello
Yes 2.0 16v Will be the Best. But Its hard to find ones.
And Its illegal to put the 16 v in it. So there for i ask her in the forum, If Its wourth to do it. I Got 1.8l digifant 98 HP in my cab, and the other engine is from golf mk3 GTI 2.0 8v 115 HP with digifant.

Swapped a 1.8 for a 2 ltr 8v over 20 years ago, not much more power as standard, but I still think its worth doing, and more tuning possibilities..
