Electric Mk1 Caddy Project

Hey everyone,

Any electric car conversion fans out there?

For the last 2.5 years my father and I have been hard at work converting a Mk1 Caddy into the electric age and we are so so close to get it test driving.
I've had a lot of mixed reviews on our little project, mostly petrol heads putting electric cars down but for the most part the feedback we've had has been incredible so i decided to make an account on the vwgolfmk1 website (which has helped me endless amounts of times whenever i was stuck) to see what the real VDub fans think about it.

I think this could be the start of something beautiful, Mk1 VW's are my favourite kinds of cars and I'd love nothing more than to spend my life converting them into the electric age so they can be on the road for another 100 years.

Hi love your project. I am a big convert in the EV. My daily is EV and my wifes is plug in hybrid. My mk1 is just for sunny weekends but the idea of combining the two is awesome.
