Best Cover For Cabriolet

Post

Hey guys,

Sorry if posted in wrong section, but I'm wondering which all weather covers are the best for a cabriolet? Unfortunately I have to keep mine on a driveway from the end of this year, so want to make sure it's as good as it can be. Thanks

I've found the £50 halfords job does alright on my hatch, not used it in a couple of years though as the car gets used a bit in winter still, if it works. Can't see why a halfords one wouldn't be OK for a cab? Some people would never use a cover due to scratches and moisture being trapped and then blistering paintwork etc, I've never been too worried as my paint isn't great anyway, more to stop water getting into the car. I guess if your car is water tight and you get time to give it a wash and a start now and then might be better off without?

I've had my tin top under a halfords cover for a couple of years now. Not had any paint damage. Obviously car needs to be clean before putting the cover on or it will scratch. They have a 2 year guarantee on them and for £60 it's a bargain. I use a small and it covers nearly down to the ground at the sides.

My rebuild thread I will try and keep up to date: here

I should probably have said I never had any paint damage with mine either. Plus they have straps that go under the car so it doesn't blow away. Some people turn their nose up at halfords stuff but they actually are really good
